Our B2B Offering
- There are over 25,000 flights a day in Europe → your employees are bound to experience long delays or cancellations.
- This represents lost time, frustrations, missed opportunities
- Some compensations may be recovered following Regulation EU 261/04.
L8flight enables institutions to claw-back a portion of their travel costs and generate a windfall gain.
Business travellers can experience flight disruptions such as long delays, missed connections or cancelled flights.
On average, 3% of flights are affected (delayed, cancelled or class downgraded).
Individual passenger compensations range from €250 to €600.
Depending on your travel characteristics, you may recover 1 to 2% of your travel costs, without any financial commitment.
Which flights are covered?
EU Regulation 261/2004 covers all of the EU airspace, along with Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and the outermost regions.
The Regulation covers all flights departing from the European Union, whether it is an intra-EU or an international flight.
Flights which are departing out of the EU, but are EU-bound, are covered if they are operated by an air carrier registered in the EU.
Did you know ?
There are several consumer protection regulations that come into play, including the Montreal convention, EC regulation 261/04 and US rules.
So, depending on which airline, what route you were flying along, the cases can be pretty different. We are here to check all applicable regulations and how they apply to your situation.
You can claim for disruptions up to 5 years old !
Why outsourcing ?
L8flight’s expertise in existing case-law helps overcome obstructions which discourage most passengers.
Time prescription in most European jurisdiction is 5 years and we can claim your backlog by analysing past flights bulk data.
This is a specialised task that L8Flight does exclusively in partnership with a network of legal specialists.
Nothing to pay upfront
We work on a “No-Win No-Fee“ basis
This means you pay nothing until we have actually got you some money back. (VAT may apply)
Our billing frequency is usually monthly but can be adapted. We recommend short timespan so we can pay back what’s owed to your institution rapidly.
3 ways to work with us
L8flight-fronted: Your institution obtains a Power of Attorney from all travelling employees allowing L8flight to claim on their behalf. A second PoA allows L8flight to allocate the received compensation according to a pre-agreed split
Institutionally-driven: Your institution obtains a PoA from travelling employees and then provides L8flight with a second PoA allowing L8Flight to claim
Employee-lead: Your institutions motivates employees to claim through L8flight. L8flight then obtains the right from the passengers to retrocede a pre-agreed portion of the claim to their employer.
Working with L8flight:
We determine together:
The size of the likely potential claw back amount based on annual travel historical data
The incentive to be shared with employees. As compensations are due to passengers, institutions should obtain rights transfer from employees.
Past travel portfolio claw back
An attractive one-time windfall gain: We analyse historical travel portfolios, identify the flights subjects to a claim and then “bulk claim” on your institutions’ behalf as far back as the data and/or the jurisdictions allow.
Our databases include historical flight statuses, historical “exceptional events” data (strikes, weather amongst others) allowing L8flight to rapidly assess Airlines answers.
Passengers/employees must authorize another entity to claim on their behalf if they don’t claim themselves.
