The first Boeing 777X should make its maiden flight in late June. According to the CEO of Emirates Airlines, which has ordered 150 Boeing 777Xs, the first flight of 777-9 will take place on June 26, 2019.
The rumors say the first flight should take place after the Paris Air Show. Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airlines thinks the commissioning of the first B777X, initially scheduled for 2020, might be delayed by regulators scalded by certification problems after the B737 MAX accidents.
Boeing made the first GE9X engine run on the new B777X.
