Air France should soon receive its first A350. The assembly of this A350-900, started at the end of March and the aircraft just came out, on June 17th, of the painting facilities in Toulouse. Although it should be soon delivered, the engines still have to be added to the aircraft. The plane will be able to transport 324 passengers in three classes, Business (34 pax), Premium (24 pax) and Economy (266 pax). Due to the fact this plane was ordered by Joon, which is ending its services, the plane should be laid out as it was ordered.
Anne Rigail, Air France’s Executive Director stated that the A350 should be “the heart of the fleet along with the 777”. To train cabin crews, the A350 should start with short-haul flights.
